EDI works to assist the oil and gas industry with vibration solutions on platforms around the world. Projects include oil transfer pumps, FPU screw compressors, reciprocating engines driving reciprocating compressors, modal evaluation of decks and supports, and/or gas turbines driving main electrical generators.

EDI has assisted major oil companies with pulsation and rotordynamic analyses of triplex and quintaplex pumps for water reinjection, etc.

As an example of a major project, EDI evaluated the new VFD motor – pump systems for the Alaska Pipeline. This included rotordynamics, torsional analyses, and finite element analysis (FEA) of the support structure.
