Shaker and Impact Testing

EDI maintains a range of sizes of custom built rotating shakers, including a large shaker capable of producing thousands of pounds of dynamic force.  Shaker testing is often used for foundations and large rotating equipment such as fans.  Instrumented hammers are also available for impact testing.  These devices are important in determining the frequency of mechanical natural frequencies. Calibrated impact hammers of various sizes are also available for modal testing.
